Normally I’d say if you’ve never had a Wendy’s Frosty you don’t know what you’re missing, but if you make this chocolate peanut butter banana protein smoothie recipe you won’t be missing a thing! I even surprised myself with how creamy and chocolate-y this smoothie is!
It’s the perfect snack for when you’ve finished a workout and need something to refuel quickly, since it only takes 5 minutes to make. The carbs from the banana will help boost your energy. Plus, it provides a nice dose of potassium (which gets lost through sweat) and can help reduce muscle soreness.
The peanut butter helps give the smoothie it’s thick, smooth texture, while also providing healthy fats to keep you full. Not to mention a hint of that yummy nutty flavor.
But, neither the banana nor the peanut butter have an overpowering taste – the star of this smoothie is definitely all the chocolate flavor packed into one scoop of Health Warrior’s Superfood Protein Powder (and all the real food, plant-based protein that comes with it!). The chocolate tastes rich and not at all artificial, like you might find with some other protein powders. And it’s got a whopping 20 gram of protein per serving!
- 1 scoop Health Warrior Chocolate Superfood Protein Powder
- 1 frozen, ripe banana
- 1 1/2 Tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1/3 cup milk of choice
- Chocolate chips and chopped peanuts for garnish (optional)
- Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender. Blend until smooth. Top with chocolate chips and peanuts, if you’d like.
